Freight Delivery

Prepare for an appointment-based LTL delivery of large or heavy cartons.

Before the appointment

Review every shipment and carton count in your shipping details. Keep your contact phone available and discuss narrow roads, gates, steep driveways or other access restrictions with the carrier.

Schedule with the carrier

Arrange the appointment when the carrier contacts you. Confirm the date, delivery window and access requirements directly with the carrier. Notify them promptly if you cannot attend.

What curbside means

Curbside service places the shipment at an accessible curbside delivery point. Residential liftgate service helps lower the shipment from the truck; it does not include carrying cartons indoors, into a backyard or upstairs. Assembly and installation are separate services.

Curbside unloadingMoving indoors or to the backyard is not included

Count, inspect and document

Compare the received cartons with the shipment paperwork. Photograph visible damage and carton labels, and note shortages or visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing when possible. Keep your copy.

If delivery cannot be completed

Contact the carrier and Customer Care to understand the next step. Redelivery, storage or other services can require confirmation and charges. Do not assume a missed appointment automatically cancels your order.

Questions about this topic

Should I refuse a carton with damaged packaging?

Minor exterior packaging damage is not an automatic reason to refuse the whole shipment. Document what you can see and contact Customer Care for guidance if damage is significant or you cannot safely accept delivery.
