TERKKIN Two-Door Storage Shed Assembly Instructions

Instead of searching or buying a set of wooden shed plans, this resin Instead of searching or buying a set of wooden shed plans, this resin shed starts from finished parts. The panels are molded to size in the factory, so the build is about fitting modules together. Each one joins the next with a tongue-and-groove fit, the ridge on one panel sliding into the groove on the next, and a screwdriver locks each section in place.

The Components of a 2-Door Storage Shed

Unpack your delivery. Nothing is cut to length on site and nothing is measured by you, because every piece is already sized to the ground, the walls, the doors, and the roof. Lay it all out and you will see:

  • a base, with its connectors
  • four wall panels, one for each side
  • the door panels
  • a connector for every panel joint
  • segmented extrusion resin parts, the edge covers
  • a bag of screws

Still, a product brochure is also included of our storage shed package. For easy recognization in the installation process, we sepeprate each part with a unique product code

A parts brochure comes in the package as well. Every part carries its own code, printed on the part and repeated in the brochure, so you can tell two similar panels apart easily.

Step 1: Check the Ground With a Level

Check the ground with a spirit level before you set anything down. This matters most if you build a concrete slab or paving shed base yourself, because gravel and pavers settle unevenly as you tamp them.

How Does a Spirit Level Work?

Take a close look at the tool first. Most levels are an aluminum bar with two or three small windows in it. Each window holds a sealed glass vial of liquid with one air bubble inside, and two lines printed around the middle. The long face of the bar is machined flat, so it sits on the high points of whatever you rest it on, and that is what tells you whether the ground is flat.

To check your ground or your finished foundation, sweep the gravel smooth, then rest the level on it. Air is lighter than the liquid, so the bubble always rises toward whichever end is higher. If the bubble sits dead center between the two lines, that stretch of ground is level. If it drifts to the right, the right end is high. If it drifts left, the left end is high. The farther the bubble sits from the lines, the bigger the slope. Read it in the same spot two or three times, turning the bar end for end between readings.

If the bubble reports the same high side each time, the reading is real. If it changes, the tool is off.

Step 2: Assemble Side Wall Panels

Start with the base and the angle panels.

TERKKIN pre-assembles the base with its edge cover, so you only need to stand the angle panels upright at the corners of the base.

Set each angle panel into the base connector, then drive screws into the pre-drilled positions to lock it down.

Fit the ventilation window next. The louvered piece faces outward, the frame piece sits on the inside, and a screwdriver secures both through the panel.

Once all four angle panels stand on the base, join them with the panel connectors: line up the tongue on one edge with the groove on the next and press together.

Dont forget to install the door edge cover and the roofing L-brakets.

Secure the side panels to each other and to the ground with the appropriate screws. The base and the door edge cover already have their screw holes pre-drilled (pic3), so the screws go straight in.

With all four walls connected, the shed frame stands ready for the doors.

Step 3: Add the Roof Kit

The roof kit comes as one long roof connector bar plus four L-shaped support brackets and a bag of screws.

Lift the roof connector into place across the top of the shed and line its holes up with the holes in the panel connector below. Slide it down until it seats, hold it steady, and drive the screws in from the side.

Next fit the L-shaped roof support brackets. Each one sits between the edge cover and the side panel. Use four screws per bracket.

Now the roof lid. Slot the tongue on the lid into the groove along the top of the side panel, push it home, and secure it with screws.

Add Screws Wherever You Want more Hold

TERKKIN sheds are built for DIY, so every resin panel takes a new screw hole straight from your driver. No pre-drilling and no special bit. If the shed feels looser than you would like once the roof is on, add screws at the roof connector and along the lid, and put one at each corner angle where the roof meets the frame.

Step 4: Hang the Double Doors

Unpack the door kit and lay everything out. You will find two door leaves, a doorknob set with a small mounting plate for each leaf, a slide bolt, and two bags of screws. The four dark tabs running down the outer edge of each leaf, at the top, upper middle, lower middle and bottom, are the hinges.

Look at the inner face of each hinge and check that its holes line up with the holes on the door frame post.

Hinges are easy to get the wrong way round, so open each one before you drive any screws and confirm it sits on the correct side. A hinge fitted backwards means the door will not swing clear. Fix each hinge with two screws, one at the top hole and one at the bottom.

Fit the slide bolt at the bottom of the door frame. It drops into the frame to hold one leaf shut while the other swings free. You can flick it open or closed with your toe when your hands are full.

Now the doorknob. Push the knob through the hole in the leaf, sit the mounting plate behind it, and drive the screws in following the hole layout on the plate.

Work down the frame post and add a screw every third or fourth section, locking the post to the panel and to the floor connector at each point. This is what stops the doors sagging over time.

If You are New to Assemble DIY Sheds

Do not tighten everything fully on the first pass. Leave the screws slightly loose while you work, and you can still lift, shift and re-square a part if something turns out to be facing the wrong way. Fully tighten only once both doors hang straight and swing clean.

And do not cocern the screw quantity. TERKKIN packs more screws than the instructions call for. During assembly testing we always ended up adding a few extra fixings beyond the plan, so we send the surplus with every shed. Use as many as you need. With screws, more is better.
